Social Skills and Play Groups

Coming January 2025: Groups will meet in 45 minute increments at localized community areas to engage in social play, participate in group activities, and practice speech skills. These groups will meet once a month on Saturday mornings. Group sizes will cap at 10.

This will be a “pay as you can” donation model with a suggested donation of $25. During sign up, the cost will be $0 - upon entry to skill groups, you will have the opportunity to make a donation to the play group. Funds will go towards purchasing supplies, toys, materials, and for activities such as live science demonstrations, musical guests, and activity group leaders.

Preschool Social Skill & Play Group 1: 24-36 months

Skills at this age level are developing, and many kiddos are learning how to navigate social relationships. This group will emphasize turn taking, learning about emotions, sharing, fantasy play, following directions, and routine transitions. Some activities may include:

• Arts and crafts

• Physical activity games such as red light green light, parachute, frogs on a lily pad, etc

• Group musical activities

• Themed activities for adjacent holidays
